It’s pretty amazing how time distorts and turns the popular depiction into the mainstream even when the source document actually states the contrary. Most of us see Satan as the ruler of Hell even though the Bible clearly tells us that he is the prince of the air and has occasional audience with God himself. He is not the ruler of hell below us he is in the heavenly places above us and will share the pit of hell with all the other condemned before suffering their same ultimate fate in the eternal lake of fire.
